Lecture series about architecture at the mcb-a

In 2019, the mcb-a will invest its new showcase on the PLATEFORME 10 site. With this in mind, the museum is offering a lecture series entitled "New Museums, New Architectures", which will enable visitors to discover four European museums that have recently inaugurated new architectural projects.

The mcb-a being closed on Mondays, access will be from 6.15 pm and the exhibitions will not be open to visitors before or after.

Monday 6 November 2017 at 6.30 pm
The new Musée d´arts de Nantes, inaugurated and reopened to the public on 23rd June 2017, is the culmination of an exceptional project. The building has been extensively renovated and extended by the British Stanton Williams Architects, allowing for a 30% increase in exhibition space, meeting current conservation standards and, above all, offering a wider presentation of the museum’s rich collections, ranging from painting and video to photography and installation, from ancient art to art.
