The Council of State and the PLATEFORME 10 Foundation have the honour to announce three new donations. These ones are in favour of the architectural project of the brothers Manuel and Francisco Aires Mateus entitled "One museum, two museums" and intended to house the Musée de l’Elysée and the mudac (Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts).
Convinced of the future cultural influence of PLATEFORME 10, three donors, who want to remain temporarily anonymous, have pledged to pay 11 million francs. As a reminder, the realisation of phase two of PLATEFORME 10 (second building, complementary programme, western part of the site) is estimated at around 100 million francs, of which 40 million francs are private funds according to the public-private partnership principle. These new donations are in addition to the commitment of the Leenaards Foundation (CHF 5 million) and the Fondation d’aide sociale et culturelle du Canton de Vaud (FASC), the commission charged with redistributing the profits of the Loterie Romande (CHF 10 million).
